A Dysfunctional Government is by Design

 

 The government is confused, dysfunctional, and divided by design. The design of this dysfunctionalism was intended to prevent a Trump (or an Obama) from ever controlling so much of the government that policies are rubber stamped without the cooperation of the 'other side'. There is a certain naivete in believing that government is a well oiled machine that can be tuned up by the right people being voted in. When it comes to government, dysfunction is our saving grace designed to protect us from or government. The single biggest problem within government are statesmen that become complacent, numb or even comfortable with government dysfunction and relinquish any personal morality/vision influencing how they would vote. Insider trading exists in government as a byproduct of dysfunction, but even that pales in comparison to the use of foreign policy to influence the stock market as Trump has done. The rich and powerful are also hidden by the confusion of this system as they influence and further corrupt the system for their own aims. Dysfunction will always be here, as will swamp creatures that live under that rock but this does not mean we have no power. Our power is in voting for Representatives and Senators that have integrity, morality, and/or vision without regard to political affiliation to create a new government, and hopefully a new world . Eventually, even the dysfunction of government will be worn down, not by presidential decree, but by electing people that hold humanity above ideology combined with an America first policy that also acknowledges a world in need.
