A Dysfunctional Government is by Design

A government is confused, dysfunctional, and divided by design. This design of dysfunctionalism was intended to prevent a Trump (or an Obama) from ever controlling so much of the government that policies are rubber stamped without the cooperation of the 'other side'. There is a certain naivete in believing that government is a well oiled machine that can be tuned up by the right people being voted in. When it comes to government, dysfunction is our saving grace designed to protect us from another Trump. The single biggest problem within government are the statesmen that become complacent or even comfortable with government dysfunction as they no longer has any personal morality influencing how they vote. Insider trading exists in government as a byproduct of dysfunction, but even that pales in comparison to the using of foreign policy to influence the stock market as Trump has done. Dysfunction will always be here, as will swamp creatures that live under that rock but this does not mean we have no power. Our power is in voting for Representatives and Senators that have integrity, morality, and/or vision to see a new world is possible. Eventually, even the dysfunction of government will be worn down so the world can change.
