Tempered Dreams

Tempered Dreams

Soft cries and hard sighs,
the world waits
as Gaia dies,

In man's greed
we welcome the beast,
hatred for each other
will never cease.

More and more and more,
steel born from iron ore
with heat and fire
mankind forged

Love and pain are just the same
it all depends
on which side of
the hammer you're on

Broken and welded
rigid thoughts shattered
picking up the pieces of our lives

One tempered dream
at a time
