Untamed Dreams

Untamed Dreams There once was a man who had too many dreams short ones, small ones big ones, tall ones all crowded together in a cage, sardines packed in brine unable to breathe until the smallest one died without love and all the other dreams felt sad then they grew mad, mad as a hatter and mean so the man stopped dreaming altogether and locked away love and hope but dreams never stop dreaming, drawing her to his need she brought a key,  opening the cage of dreams free at last, the man simply wept, his dreams setting fire to his soul

And She Hugged Him Tightly

And She Hugged Him Tightly She hugged him so tightly the air between them turned to mist and in the mist rose words unspoken of love and hate, desire and need words of lust and betrayal, happiness and pain dissolving into mist once spoken leaving behind a yearning for life and the courage to seek her own fate as hope closed down around her face slowly drowning from the weight of past mistakes taking a last breath before exhaling all the sin she carried for others in her soul never knowing if she would wake forever changed or crippled and bent by the weight of the world one last thought they can never hurt her again

Sunlight streaming through my mind

Sunlight streaming through my mind There is nothing you can do and little enough I can do myself but must wait at the ends of the earth for salvation or love or death In a life without love I would watch the world burn rage filling the emptiness once whole or spread my entrails on the altar of greed to appease the diminishing gods of man As you shout "you're not alone" and hold my hand, a breath of life, a promise to believe that night follows day and the sun will rise on the dawn of a sinless world Your voice is sunlight streaming through my mind and I am purified, not by pain and not by love but something far more powerful, belief in myself With three small words that hide so many more I commit my spirit to be whole to a life watching you glow I love you

All That Remains

Al That Remains  Only in darkness can we see our light,  with bitter tears are born the sweetness of life.  You are damaged but not deaf and blind,  so look in a mirror that's not cracked from side to side  and find, not what you expect to find,  not what you hope will be,  but life flowing upward as a tree reaching for heaven.  At the end of this journey deep inside,  you will find beauty has survived.  A small seed planted long ago, as weeds grow through broken concrete,  your beauty will live and climb the brick façade of pain  until all that remains are the small purple,  pinky, and blue flowers that have changed bitter soil to love  - for becky

Just here and nowhere else

Just here and nowhere else I have no idea how to start this poem but maybe that's the point of pointlessness We are here just here and nowhere else and everything's new Leaving stale hatreds far behind losing the luggage burdening the soul and untying the kite strings of empty dreams A new world, new goals, and a new me finding inspiration just waking up Yet it's hard not to crumble under the weight of past mistakes and the ghosts of regret haunting sleep That's why this write begins without a start as I travel to the ends of the world hoping to close the circle of life from start to finish of the last lines of my poem Love begins with the morning sun maybe starting here is a better place to begin
